Carrying on the tradition of Verbal Gumbo, in the African/African American Oral Tradition, we present a night of poetry, spoken word, and other performances from people of all walks of life. Bring your best poetry, sign up early, and come enjoy the vibe! (Every third Thursday of the month). Hosted by fellow artist Phillip Bauldwin, featuring SAND.

SAND is a pop artist based in Omaha, NE. The music intertwines meaningful lyrics that touch your heart with melodies that get stuck in your head. She has written nearly 200 songs all inspired by the highs and lows of her own life and those around her. Sand’s mission is to be patient, courageous, and mindful to form health and comfort in this existence.

Our free open mic welcomes all art forms, including comedy, poetry, spoken word, music, and much more!
