No Going Back – A Film Premiere

“No Going Back” is a feature film written, directed, filmed, and produced in Omaha.

This locally produced film is a story of a Vampire who loses his eternal life but learns to embrace the strength one gains through the power of love and letting go. 

“No Going Back” written and adapted as a screenplay by Mike Cavanaugh is an original story written by his brother, Matthew “Chewy” Cavanaugh.  “No Going Back” was directed and filmed by Mike Cavanaugh in numerous locations throughout Omaha. The lead actor in the movie is Charlie Joyce. Numerous community actors have supporting roles.

Mike, the sixth of Kate and John Cavanaugh’s eight offspring began his movie making career in the basement of the Cavanaugh home in Omaha and honed it by receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in filmmaking from Columbia College in Chicago. He has expanded his body of work in Los Angeles. 

Mike made “No Going Back” in the most creative way possible by utilizing every innovative way he could conjure up to get it done. Mike likes to think of “No Going Back” as a community project because of the support he has received from his family, his friends, and the arts community in his hometown. He is eager to share this film with all of you.
