About/Education & Community

A stage that teaches.

Beyond the marquee, Benson is a classroom, a rehearsal room, and an open door — bringing performance and creative learning to everyone in the neighborhood.

Programs

Ways we open the doors.

Year-round programming built with local schools, artists, and families.

Youth Workshops

After-school and summer intensives in acting, stagecraft, and music for students ages 8–18, taught by working artists.

Artist Residencies

Rehearsal space, mentorship, and a stage for emerging local companies to develop and premiere new work.

Community Access Nights

Pay-what-you-can and free performances so cost is never the reason someone misses live theatre.

School Partnerships

Field trips, matinee buy-outs, and in-classroom teaching artists in partnership with area schools.
