Aug. 11 Charitable Golf Tournament to Benefit Benson Theatre
Liz Kerrigan and her husband, Kevin, like to golf. They also like to support their community. Since 2004, they’ve combined the two interests to raise money for causes that impact their loved ones and play golf in a relaxed scramble tournament that welcomes all skill sets.
The 15th annual Shaft Charity Golf Tournament is set for Saturday, Aug. 11, at Benson Golf Course. Proceeds from this year’s event will benefit Benson Theatre. The scramble format begins with a shotgun start at 2:00pm. Registration begins at 1:00pm. The cost is $80 per player or a discounted $300 per team if the fee is paid all at once. It includes:
- Box lunch before the round
- 18 holes of golf with a cart
- Drink tickets
Following the tournament, the after party featuring dinner, beer and prizes will be held at The B Side of Benson Theatre, 6058 Maple St. Kerrigan, a member of the Benson Theatre Board of Directors, said all levels of golfers are welcome. To register a team, visit www.shaftgolf.org.
