Arthur Miller’s Incident at Vichy April 11-20 at B Side

BENSON – The Benson Theatre Project is pleased to host the Brigit Saint Brigit (BSB) Theatre Company’s production of “Incident at Vichy” by Arthur Miller in April at The B Side of Benson Theatre, 6058 Maple St.
Written in 1964 about events that transpired in 1942, this multi-faceted collaboration among seven local arts, education and social activist organizations is bringing this 55-year-old, rarely performed play to Omaha for the first time ever.
BSB partners are:
- Anti-Defamation League Plains States Region
- Institute for Holocaust Education
- Omaha Public Schools Foundation
- Benson Theatre
- Jewish Federation of Omaha
- University of Nebraska at Omaha College of Communication, Fine Arts & Media/School of the Arts
The story…a group of strangers simmer outside a makeshift interrogation room lobby fresh from being plucked off the streets of their everyday lives. As they are questioned and their papers are scrutinized, trivial social connections become lifelines, personal convictions get weighed beside self-interest and prejudices emerge within the victim class itself.
After opening at the Jewish Community Center April 5-7, B Side performance dates are:
April 11, 12, 13 | 7:30pm
April 19, 20 | 7:30pm
Omaha Public Schools students will be admitted free of charge to the following performances:
April 7| 2:00pm | South High School
April 14 | 2:00pm | Benson High School
April 21 | 2:00pm | Burke High School
